Classified Session

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) will be hosting an all-day classified session in conjunction with the ASPRS 2013 Annual Conference.  The purpose of the classified session is to engage the attendees in exploring views, ideas, approaches, and research results for Advancements in GEOINT Analytics.  NGA is also organizing several unclassified sessions to be held during the ASPRS Annual Conference technical sessions.  All participants for all sessions must be pre-registered with ASPRS. This session is a seperate registration from the main Conference registration.

NGA Classified Session Details

Topic: Advancements in GEOINT Analytics

Date: Monday, March 25, 2013

Time: 8 am until 5 pm

Registration: This session requires a separate registration fee from the ASPRS 2013 Annual Conference. All participants for this session must be U.S. citizens, have security clearance and be pre-registered with ASPRS.

Cost: $100 - You may register for the Classified Session online through the general confernce registration process.

Location: Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, 1550 West Nursery Road, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. A bus will be available for all attendees coming from the Conference host hotel, the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Complimentary parking is available for attendees wishing to drive themselves to the session location.

The registration fee includes bus transportation to and from the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel to the session location, lite breakfast and coffee in the morning, lunch and an afternoon break.


Session Overview

We have available computing power undreamed of just a generation ago.  New phenomenologies are now available.  At the same time, the GEOINT community is dealing with problems qualitatively different from those confronted in years past.  How can the GEOINT community bring these new capabilities to bear on traditional and emerging GEOINT issues?  Which capabilities, new or old, can best help solve recently-arising GEOINT problems?

Morning Session: Keynote presentations and cutting edge research presentations on Advancements in GEOINT Analytics.

Afternoon Session: Additional research presentations and in-depth round table discussions on Advancements in GEOINT Analytics.

Classification Level: This session will be held at SECRET//NOFORN. A minimum security clearance of SECRET is required for all session participants. Additonal registration and clearence information may be found below.

Call for Papers

NGA is soliciting research papers and presentations of twenty to thirty minutes. Papers should address aspects of Advancements in GEOINT Analytics. Please do not submit papers that focus on proprietary company or commercial products or services or use the presentations to promote or advertise a product, service or company.

Submission Requirements: Abstracts for papers must be received by February 4, 2013. Abstracts may be classified and include author(s)/presenter(s) with affiliation(s), and a description not exceeding 500 words. Abstracts will be evaluated on their innovation, significance and implications, relevance to session and community, and overall technical quality. Paper selection notifications will be made by February 8, 2013. If selected, full presentation or papers will be due to NGA on or before March 1, 2013.

Registration & Clearance Information for all Participants

All attendees and speakers for this session must be per-registered with ASPRS by March 8, 2013.  The Classified Session is NOT included in any conference registration. There is a separate fee of $100 to attend the Classified Session, please make note when completing the registration process.  Acceptance of paper or topic does not register you for this session.

Attendees and speakers must have their security office submit clearance certification by March 8, 2013. Clearance submission information will be emailed to participants after payment is recieved by ASPRS to attend the session.

Classification Level: This session will be held at SECRET//NOFORN. A minimum security clearance of SECRET is required for all session participants.
