Welcome to the Southwest US Region of ASPRS

The Southwest US Region has been especially active these past few years under the guidance of past-presidents Stewart Walker (BAE Systems), Steve Yool (University of Arizona) and Soe Myint (Arizona State University).

During their tenure, the region:

• Fostered the establishment of Student Chapters at San Diego State University, Arizona State University, the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University,
• Instituted an Awards Program for student achievement and student travel,
• Hosted the ASPRS 2010 Annual Conference in San Diego April 26-30, 2010, and

I hope to build on their momentum and continue to keep our region vital and vibrant.

Why ASPRS?

There are many professional organizations to choose from – why should ASPRS be one of yours? My top-ten list:
