NASA's Worldwind: This is an awsome tool created by NASA http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/download.html that allows viewing an manipulation of imagery and data that allows you to drill down anywhere on earth from space, view existing data, including Landsat, and USGS orthos. The ability to go oblique and fly around is way cool for a free program.


Books & Reviews

If you have not had an opportunity to read the books by Edward Tufte or attend one of his courses, you should really take a look at what he has to offer at his website http://www.edwardtufte.com/tufte/index

Edward has an incredible abiltity to explain graphics and visual imformation. Wether your viewing information, or creating maps for distribution these books offer incredible insight into the useful display of information.
