In celebration of our nation's Independence Day and quest for democracy and freedom, this month's cover images exhibit a patriotic theme. Images are courtesy of Horizons, Inc. of Rapid City, South Dakota, home to Mount Rushmore National Memorial (shown in the blue portion of the cover).

735 Using GIS to Assess and Manage the Conservation Reserve Program in Finney County, Kansas

A geographic information system was used to assess the impact of environmental factors on the U.S. Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), determine certain CRP contracts for early release, and set priority areas for accepting new CRP bids for Finney County, Kansas.

745 Underwater Digital Stereo-Obesrvation Technique for Red Hydrocoral Study

The results show that the technique has a measurement accuracy of ±1.2 mm at the 95 percent confidence level.

753 A Rigorous Technique for Forensic Measurement of Surveillance Video Footage
A.K. Chong

A technique using a mono-view video frame to make accurate measurement of physical features of a crime suspect is discussed.
