Special Issue Call for Papers

“Mapping from High Resolution
Satellite Imagery”

Sponsored by
the ASPRS PAD Softcopy Photogrammetry Committee
and the ISPRS Commission I

There is an ever increasing use of high resolution satellite imagery. In recognition of the growing application and wide user acceptance of high resolution satellite images, Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing (PE&RS) will publish a special issue on “Mapping from High Resolution Satellite Imagery”. This call for papers is to solicit high quality manuscripts that cover one or more of the following topics:

  • Review and comprehensive comparison of high resolution satellite imaging systems
  • Sensor calibration and error modelling in satellite sensor geometry
  • Sensor model research and accuracy assessment including rational functions based sensor models
  • 3D reconstruction from high resolution satellite images
  • Automatic or semiautomatic feature extraction and database updating using high resolution satellite images
  • Change detection and multiple sensor data fusion
  • Integrated image database, indexing, and image based content query techniques
  • Novel mapping applications with the high resolution satellite images
All manuscripts must follow the PE&RS Instructions to Authors that are published in each issue of the journal and are available on the ASPRS website. All papers will be peer-reviewed in accordance with journal policy. The deadline for submission of manuscripts is August 1, 2005. All manuscripts should be sent to Prof Vincent Tao.
