Leica Geosytems Geospatial Imaging provided this month’s cover image, which demonstrates the capabilities of the Leica ALS50 Airborne Laser Scanner and the company’s 3D visualization solutions, including Virtual GIS. This image was processed by Sanborn and shows the broken Taum Sauk reservoir dam in South-Central Missouri sending a rush of water 200 yards wide, emptying the reservoir’s 1.5 billion gallons in 12 minutes.
