This month’s cover imagery was provided by Woolpert Inc. and comes from the Ohio Statewide Imagery Program (OSIP) being conducted
for the Ohio Offi ce of Information Technology (Ohio
OIT). Located in downtown Columbus near the banks of
the Scioto River, the Ohio Statehouse construction began
in 1839. Color digital orthophoto imagery and refl ective
surface lidar data colorized by elevation portray its unique
architecture. Digital imagery and lidar collections were
completed in the spring of 2007 at 6” (15cm) and 6’ (2M) resolutions respectively, using the Leica ADS40 and
ALS50 aerial sensor systems. Imagery and terrain products
created from this statewide collection are being used
in a wide variety of applications throughout the State of
Ohio to support GIS, environmental monitoring, planning
and engineering projects. Much of the data processing
for this project was completed using the GeoCue suite of
products, including GGR CuePac for ADS40 rectifi cation,
LIDAR 1 CuePac for LiDAR management and processing
and DEM CuePac for the preparation of elevation data
for orthorectifi cation. All three CuePacs make extensive
use of GeoCue’s Distributed Processing system. For
