Sr. Production Photogrammetrist

HJW Geospatial is a precision mapping firm providing expertise in photogrammetric mapping, LiDAR terrain modeling, orthophotography, aerial and satellite imagery, QA/QC oversight, and spatial data fusion undergoing rapid expansion. Job Summary:
This position is a technical lead within the photogrammetric production department, responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient flow of work, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise, and overseeing image and data-intensive processing. Work within deadlines to ensure timely delivery of mapping products and services which meet client specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Work on all aspects of photogrammetric mapping production, including aerial triangulation, automated terrain extraction, and LiDAR processing
- Process airborne GPS/IMU and other ancillary data as necessary
- Oversee and refine automated processing steps to improve production efficiencies based on comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end workflow
- Assist in all technical aspects of orthophoto production and image balancing
- Work closely and collaborate with project managers and other team members within the mapping department
- Exercise problem-solving skills within assigned responsibilities and duties
- Perform other duties or special assignments as instructed by supervisor
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geography, Cartography, or related field and a minimum 5-8 years experience in the mapping/geospatial industry, or equivalent practical experience.
ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist, Professional or Technical preferred, but not required.
Must possess practical, working knowledge of the full photogrammetric production workflow, including complete understanding of the Aerial Triangulation process, LiDAR processing, DTM processing, Orthoimagery, and related areas.
Must have experience working with various mapping production software, such as SocetSet, Match-AT, Leica Photogrammetry Suite, Applanix POSPAC, AutoCAD, ESRI Arc GIS, or similar.
Must have excellent verbal communication and inter-personal skills and be a team player.
Must be comfortable working in high-paced, high-energy commercial production environment.

Senior Software Engineer - ENVI Team

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our ENVI development team. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and results-oriented with strong personal initiative. Responsibilities include ongoing enhancement and maintenance of our cutting-edge commercial image analysis and visualization tools. While the emphasis for this position requires a strong background in photogrammetry (sensor modeling, orthorectification, digital elevation model extraction), any experience developing algorithms or applications for remote sensing, data ingest and processing, image processing (image classification/feature extraction), or data specific file readers/writers is a strong advantage for candidates. The ideal candidate is comfortable mentoring and assisting more-junior team members with technical issues ranging from development and bug fixes to GIS-specific topics. Minimal travel is required.

Aerial Imaging System Program Manager

The duties of the person employed are to direct the definition, design, development, and test of an electronic system for optical aerial imaging. LiDAR / Imaging Discipline Lead

Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of projects within the scope of the departmental workflow.
- Manage departmental staff. Provide technical guidance, monitor and document staff performance.
- Provide direct oversight of Merrick’s aerial acquisition operation including flight planning, scheduling and management of equipment and personnel.
- Manage budget, schedule and quality for LiDAR / Ortho Imaging projects. Develop project estimates for aerial acquisition and departmental tasks.
- Effectively communicate with Senior Managers and Project Managers on project issues and coordinate with other Discipline Leads to transfer data and information.
- Coordinate with the GSS Quality Assurance Manager and senior staff to update and execute quality assurance policies and procedures. Collect and evaluate quality metrics to support continual revisions and improvement.
- Complete continual evaluation of workflows, technical strategies and alternative solutions to improve performance, throughput and quality. Work closely with the GSS Manager-Systems Engineering to research, develop and implement new hardware, software and technologies as applicable to the department. Identify short and long term personnel and equipment resource requirements.
Minimum Position Requirements
