GREETINGS FROM THE STUDENT ADVISORY
COMMITTEE (SAC)!
T
h
e SAC is in the midst of our election process and is looking forward to
announcing new members in the coming months.
International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) and ASPRS will hold their annual geospatial events together in Denver in 2018.
The combined event will take place from February 5th - 7th in Denver, Colorado. The conference is earlier than previous years
meaning the call for abstracts will be opened soon. We know how nerve racking writing an abstract can be and to relieve that
stress we are offering abstract feedback for students. Read below.

The SAC hosts several sessions at the annual conference including student
posters and slide-based talks. The annual conference is an excellent time to share
your work with the community, gain valuable feedback, and insight into your
research. We want to encourage and support our student members to submit
abstracts and as such, we will be offering abstract review services

If you are a student who would like a second pair of eyes on your abstract?  We
can do that! The SAC will conduct abstract feedback via e-mail. Any interested
student can send us a draft abstract and we will offer our feedback. The feedback
will be given by one of our members. The SAC includes many members who have
presented posters and/or talks at past annual conferences with valuable insight
into the abstract process. Interested students may submit a draft abstract to

Next month we hope to introduce

SAC teleconferences please e-mail
and
we will provide the necessary dial-in
information.
