The ASPRS journal Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing (PE&RS) is interested in receiving proposals for Special Issues. In such issues all peer reviewed articles address a specific theme.  The theme may be proposed by a prospective Guest Editor or may be suggested by others.  It typically takes 12-14 months to bring a Special Issue of PE&RS to publication. The Guest Editor is responsible for soliciting and receiving the papers for the Special Issue having them peer reviewed to determine acceptance for the issue and determining which of the accepted papers should be included in the Special Issue.

Anyone wishing to propose a theme for a Special Issue and/or who wishes to serve as Guest Editor for such Special Issues must contact PE&RS Editor-in-Chief Dr. Alper Yilmaz for approval before proceeding.  To facilitate consideration of such requests a short written proposal should be prepared and emailed to Dr. Yilmaz at PERSeditor@asprs.org.  This proposal must include your contact information the specific subject of the Special Issue a short justification of why this should be a Special Issue and any other pertinent information.

For complete instructions regarding PE&RS Special Issues please see the Instructions for Guest Editors.

Thanks,

Alper Yilmaz
