Our client is a leading aerial mapping company specializing in high-precision geospatial data collection and analysis. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize our operations in the southwestern United States.
As the Director of Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and improving our operational processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and quality of our aerial mapping operations. This position will require a combination of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on operational management.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operations team to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency and optimize resources.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of operations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all aerial mapping operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain safety protocols and guidelines for the team.
- Regularly assess and improve safety procedures and training programs.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and technology, to meet project requirements.
- Monitor and control operational costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Oversee the quality control process to ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected geospatial data.
- Implement quality assurance procedures and standards, and continuously improve data collection and processing methods.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure the successful execution of aerial mapping projects.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to meet client expectations.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, partners, and regulatory agencies, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Address client concerns and inquiries in a professional and responsive manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Geospatial Science, Engineering, Business).
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the geospatial, aerial mapping, or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in the aerial mapping sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management and resource allocation.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project oversight and client meetings.
