KBR is seeking experts in photogrammetry to join our dynamic and growing team of highly skilled professionals. We use cutting-edge scientific and engineering techniques to perform exciting, challenging, and fulfilling analyses that influence Senior Government decisions. While your duties may fluctuate, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Leading project technical teams, developing analysis plans and schedules, and effectively communicating methods, status updates, and results to government customers
  • Ensuring that products are delivered according to schedule and that engineering analysis is correct
  • Explaining complex photogrammetry and geolocation concepts and justifying conclusions in terms understandable to government and corporate management
  • Mentoring junior personnel for photogrammetric tasks
  • Developing, validating, implementing, and testing new photogrammetric algorithms and techniques for improving the quality, utility, and availability of imagery products
  • Performing modeling and simulation to predict geolocation accuracy performance, and compare those predictions to observed geolocation accuracy

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a currently active TS/SCI Clearance, or active TS with SCI eligibility, and willingness to undergo a CI poly
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Remote Sensing, Physics, Mathematics, or another related field
  • 10+ years of experience working in the photogrammetry field performing analyses supporting development or operations
  • Demonstrated experience with imaging sensor geometric modeling, covariance error propagation, and multi-variate least squares adjustment
  • Applied knowledge of sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes
  • Knowledge of Electro-Optical and SAR payloads and their Concept of Operations (CONOPs)
  • Experience testing and analyzing Electro-Optical payload and imagery geolocation and mensuration performance
  • Experience writing or enhancing C++, MATLAB, Python, or R code for prototyping, problem solving, visualization, or engineering analysis of systems and concepts
  • Working familiarity with software tools such as SOCET GXP, MSP, and iSpy
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a persistent desire to learn
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a dynamic, collaborative team, including mentoring more junior personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex engineering analyses and study results to government and corporate management
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, initiative, self-motivation, ability to work-independently, and sense of project ownership

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geodetic Science, Physics, or another related field
  • 10+ years working within the US Intelligence Community
  • Experience testing and analyzing SAR payload and imagery geolocation performance
  • Experience with LIDAR data and software
  • Experience with geometric and gravimetric geodesy, including coordinate reference systems, map projections, and Earth orientation parameter modeling
  • Published author in peer-reviewed journals
  • 5+ years of experience conducting electro-optical engineering analysis, modeling, and simulation
  • Demonstrated ability to design engineering experiments for the purpose of understanding system design impacts or identifying optimal parameter settings
  • Experience with project plan and technical report development
  • Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to include independent testing and data verification and emerging Digital Engineering techniques
