RIO GRANDE CHAPTER ANNUAL SPRING MEETING —
CALL FOR PAPERS & POSTERS
T
he Rio Grande Chapter of the American Society for Photogrammetry and
Remote Sensing invites students, faculty, and professionals to submit
abstracts for papers and/or posters for its 2017 Annual Spring Meeting. The
presentation should deal with geographic information science and technology
and, preferably, issues in New Mexico.
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts are limited to 300 words and must include a brief
description of the problem statement, objectives, methods,
results, and conclusions. Please be sure to also include the
following in your abstract: authors and their affiliations, title,
and three to five keywords. The deadline to submit an abstract
is 18 March 2017. We encourage you to submit early to ensure
a placement in the program. Abstracts should be emailed to

Information about Paper and Poster
Presentations
Each paper, including the presentation and a discussion, is
allotted 20 minutes. A computer and projector will be provided
to facilitate the presentation. Posters should fit on a 4’ × 8’
poster board. There will be a poster competition for students
(cash prizes!).
Program will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 11:00 AM
to 5:00 PM at New Mexico State University, Breland Hall 185,
Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Registration fee is $0 for students and $12 for all others
(collected at the meeting) and covers lunch, snacks,
and refreshments!
This meeting is open to all persons: please call this meeting to
the attention of your colleagues and your students.
