He has been an award winning scientist, Director General of
the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, and has served on
the ASPRS Board. He is a Fellow of the ASPRS, a Certified
Mapping Scientist (Remote Sensing) and former Chairman
of the Canadian Remote Sensing Society. He was an author/
editor for the Second Edition of the Manual of Photographic
Interpretation and for the Second Edition of the Manual
of Remote Sensing. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Third
Edition of the Manual of Remote Sensing and has worked in
over 40 countries – including six with Dr. Haack.
