Alaska ARC Users Group GIS Jam Session

The Alaska Arc User Group is the ESRI GIS user group for the State of Alaska. The group is made up of a membership of GIS users throughout Alaska from Barrow to Ketchikan. The “GIS Jam Session” will be a liveworkshop focusing on surveying and cadastral GIS solutions from ESRI and users. We plan to feature technicalsessions on ESRI’s new Survey Analyst product, and sessions by GIS users demonstrating their uses of GIS primarily in the surveying, cadastral, and remote sensing fields. You will learn how ESRI’s Survey Analyst extension can directly impact workflow efficiency, as well as provide a high return on your GIS investment. From a user perspective, we will feature user case examples of GIS as applied in the surveying and cadastral disciplines. Guests and visitors attending the PCI Geomatics User Group Meeting will be given expanded demonstrations of the company’s newest software developments, recent format support enhancements, innovative new algorithms, and will test the newest satellite models. DAT/EM Systems International User Group Meeting
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
This half-day session is open to new and experienced users of DAT/EM’s data-capture and softcopy products. The course will provide a comfortable forum for discussing the various aspects of DAT/EM’s AutoCad and MicroStation based products. There will be hands-on technical demonstrations and discussions providing additional insights into system functionality and customization, as well as general discussions on customer needs and future products. Special emphasis will be placed on describing the latest improvements to the SUMMIT Evolution softcopy system. Attendees will also receive GPS coordinates on Alaska’s secret fishing locations and hot-spots. Job Fair
The Job Fair is the place at the 2003 ASPRS Annual Conference for companies with vacancies and those seeking employment to make connections. The Job Fair is a service provided to all conference registrants including, at no extra charge, exhibit-only registrants. All prospective employers and job seekers should bring their materials to post at the Job Fair. Notice boards will be available for position and resume postings. The Job Fair will operate in the exhibit hall during regular exhibit hall hours.
