Ms. Baojuan Zheng is the Grand Prize Winner of the ASPRS Membership Nomination Campaign
Ms. Bauojuan Zheng is the Grand Prize Winner of the ASPRS Membership Nomination Campaign in a drawing held October 1. Zheng a student at Virginia Tech, was selected at random from all ASPRS members who recently nominated colleagues for a six-month complimentary membership in ASPRS. The prize is a complimentary conference registration, free roundtrip (domestic) air transportation (up to $500), and free hotel accommodations at the ASPRS Conference Hotel for up to four nights to attend either the 2010 ASPRS/CaGIS Fall Specialty Conference in Orlando, Florida in November or the 2011 ASPRS Annual Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin next May.
Over the course of the three-month Membership Nomination Campaign, ASPRS members nominated their close colleagues at recipients of a complimentary 6-month trial membership in ASPRS. “We are quite pleased at the success of this Membership Campaign,” said James Plasker, ASPRS Executive Director. “It is gratifying to know that ASPRS members appreciate the benefits they receive from their membership in the Society, and that they are recommending their colleagues for a chance to experience what ASPRS has to offer.”
Each person who sent in nominations will be recognized as an ASPRS Member Champion in Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing, and they will receive 10% off their next year’s membership dues for each nominee that joins ASPRS after the six-month complimentary membership expires.
Founded in 1934, ASPRS is an international professional organization of 6,000 geospatial data professionals. ASPRS is devoted to advancing knowledge and improving understanding of the mapping sciences to promote responsible application of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems and supporting technologies.
