Woolpert PRS Leader to Head Council on ASPRS Board

DAYTON Ohio (March 27 2017) — Joe Cantz the Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (PRS) discipline leader at Woolpert was named to the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Board of Directors at the annual Imaging and Geospatial Technology Forum (IGTF) conference this month.

Cantz a certified GIS professional and photogrammetrist was selected to lead the Corporate Members Council. This is the first ASPRS board appointment for the Woolpert associate who has been a member of ASPRS since 2000.

Cantz said this council is vital to maintaining relationships and facilitating communication between corporations/service providers and ASPRS.

“I am excited to be a part of this fantastic organization moving forward particularly leading the Corporate Members Council,” he said. “We came out with a renewed energy from our conference and are looking to continue it into the future. As we move ahead we are looking to renew the involvement of many existing geospatial companies as well as add new ones to ASPRS.”

Cantz has been integral to several Woolpert PRS collections for multiple departments of transportation FEMA the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and various other governmental agencies.
